Pastor Cleon & Alita Laughlin

Associate Pastors

Pastor Cleon graduated from Bradley University in 1950 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Science. Sensing the urgent call of God on his life he laid down his desire and ambition to become a Medical Doctor and went to St. Paul Bible Institute (now Crown College) and graduated with a Bachelor of Theology in Missions. In 1987 he received his Master of Bible Theology degree from the International Bible Seminary. His academic gifting and desire to learn more spurred him on to further his studies. In 1990, he received his Doctorate Degree in Theology from the same Seminary.

Alita graduated from Rasmussen College with a Business degree in 1949 and in 1952 she graduated from St. Paul Bible Institute (now Crown College) with a degree in Christian Education.

Pastor Cleon and his wife Alita got married in 1952 and served as Youth Pastors for two years at Bethesda Church in Madison, Wisconsin. In 1955, they went to Papua New Guinea and pioneered a mission station and a Bible School there. They spent 12 years as missionaries in the interior of primitive Papua New Guinea where the Lord used them greatly to propagate the gospel. Through their hard work and dedication, the Lord has raised many missionaries and pastors in that part of the world which had never heard the gospel prior to their arrival.

After returning from New Guinea they started Trinity Church (now New Creation World Outreach Church) in 1967.

They have been very active in New Creation Church for the past 42 years.
